We build software we believe in.

Velos Software is an independent product company. We design, engineer, and operate our own software products and the infrastructure behind them.

01 What we do

We build and operate software products.

  1. Design
  2. Engineer
  3. Release
  4. Operate
  5. Continuous
01

One continuous process.

Our products are designed, engineered, released, and operated as one continuous process. We remain responsible for the systems we build throughout their lifecycle, from the first architectural decisions to production operation, scaling, and continued development.

02

That responsibility shapes how we build.

Data models have to evolve. Integrations fail. Payments create edge cases. Infrastructure requirements change as products grow. The software has to remain understandable and dependable through all of it.

03

The roadmap follows the product.

Our roadmap is driven by the products themselves, the people using them, and what we learn from operating them.

Software is not finished when it ships. We build with the expectation that it will be operated and developed for years.

02 What we work on

The parts of software products that demand careful engineering.

  1. 01

    Payments and subscription billing

We build payment and billing systems for software products operating across different markets and pricing models.

    • Recurring subscriptions
    • Multi-currency pricing
    • Plan changes
    • Proration
    • Payment recovery
    • Dunning
    • Refunds
    • Entitlement management
    • VAT and OSS

All of it has to remain consistent as products and customer relationships evolve, and across every market a product sells into.

Our experience comes from building and operating these systems within our own products, including the infrastructure and application logic around the payment provider itself.

  2. 02

    Applications with real domain complexity

We build applications where the complexity sits beneath the interface.

    • Multi-tenant systems
    • Operational software
    • Customer portals
    • Administration platforms
    • Internal systems
    • Substantial business logic

The engineering challenge is in the data models, permissions, workflows, state transitions, and rules that hold the product together as it grows.

These systems are designed for continued development, not just initial delivery.

  3. 03

    Infrastructure and production systems

We build and operate the systems our products depend on.

    • Cloud infrastructure
    • Databases
    • Deployments
    • Background processing
    • Monitoring
    • Integrations
    • Security
    • Operational tooling

These are part of the product architecture from the beginning. Infrastructure is not treated as a separate concern: application architecture and production architecture are designed together.

The result is software built with production behaviour, scalability, reliability, and long-term operation in mind.

03 How we build

Engineering from product to production.

  1. Interface
  2. Application logic
  3. Data
  4. Billing
  5. Infrastructure
  6. Deployment
  7. Monitoring
Seven layers, one team, one system.

We own the whole stack.

Interface, application logic, data, billing, infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring are developed as parts of the same system.

Keeping responsibility across the stack gives us a complete view of how our products behave and how changes in one part affect the rest.

We operate what we ship.

Production is part of engineering. Deployments, infrastructure, monitoring, performance, reliability, and incident response remain part of the development process after a release goes live.

Operating software continuously influences how it is designed.

We build for the long term.

Our products are designed to be maintained and developed over years. Architecture, data models, dependencies, migrations, observability, and operational complexity are considered with that lifecycle in mind.

Technical decisions compound over time. We make them accordingly.

Built in production.

Our experience comes from software we own, operate, and continue developing.

We build products, put them into production, and remain responsible for what happens next.
